Living in the moment is the best thing you can do for yourself. We ought to live in the now and here. Everytime when the clok tick off every second, it shows us the time that is passing by from our lives. What ever had happened, a minute ago, a second ago, is the things of the past. Gone with no value to us, apart from the experience we've learned from it and if we are also able to put it to good use.
Sometimes back, my brother who lives abroad were interviewed, when he won as a contestant in X-Factor (as a singer). On an international platform, when they interviewed him how it feels being a contestant and having the world watching him and voted for him, he said, he is doing music for the love and passion of it, and he is "living in the moment". Enjoying every moment of it. When I heard that, I was kind of feeling sad, as I felt that my brother were self-centered and self-consumed. The fact that he is far away from us, living abroad, and yet he is saying "living in the moment". That could mean, that he care less about us or about anything else, that is not in that moment, in his presence or in his world. According to me, I thought that could also possibly exclude what is happening back home, as his mind is only set and consumed with what is " in the moment" as he lives on. As months passess by, I realized that my brother wasn't wrong at all. We all have our own seperate lives to live. How many family's burdens and worries are we going to carry, for how long and where to? Lest we became weary.
I have seen some people like to listen to old music and so they remember their friends that are long gone, the heartbroken relationships and betrayals. Some called it Old school music. The more they listen to this music the more they stir up sad emotions, the more sadness comes to their life, that brings about loneliness and emptiness. The more they starts missing their past lives, which is long gone, with no promising return. Only pain and sorrow.
Living in the moment is the way to go. Embracing every moment of life extended unto you and not spoiling it for a thing, as every moment comes and passes by. Why not making the best of it.? Enjoying our now, our today, for yesterday is gone. Tomorrow is still to come and we don't know what it will bring along. Therefore, we should embrace our now, our today. Today its here with us. We are in it, right now. Its in our hands. Lets make the best out of it now, before it close off for tommorrow.
